Frozen Tropical Slushie

Remember Frosty Fruits? This is the grown-up version. A big-batch frozen slushie built on both Coco Loco flavours, spiked with white rum, and served straight from the machine. It's the self-serve station that runs itself while you actually enjoy the party.

What you'll need

Makes approx. 9 serves (250ml each) · Approx. 1.2 standard drinks per serve

Use a Ninja SLUSHi or similar frozen drink machine. Serves into tumblers.

  • 700ml Coco Loco Pineapple, flattened
  • 650ml Coco Loco Passionfruit, flattened
  • 350ml pineapple juice
  • 350ml orange juice
  • 100ml fresh passionfruit pulp
  • 250ml white rum
  • 35g caster sugar (slush insurance)

Method

  1. Flatten the Coco Loco cans first: open them, chill for a few hours, or stir out the fizz.
  2. Dissolve the sugar into the juices. Add the passionfruit pulp and rum.
  3. Combine everything with the flat Coco Loco. Fill the machine to the max line.
  4. Run the Spiked Slush cycle. First slush takes 15 to 60 minutes, then it holds.

Tasting notes

Pineapple, orange and passionfruit frozen to a slush. Nostalgic, dangerously easy, and far more fun than it lets on.

Mark a cup line at 250ml and let guests pour for themselves. It drinks like cordial, which is both the charm and the danger. Pace accordingly.

Machine produces approx. 6.3% ABV, approx. 5.2% sugar (both within the SLUSHi operating window). Standard-drink figures are estimates; confirm against bottle labels. Please drink responsibly.
